Corbin's Surgery continued again

36 hours post-op. At this point the doctors had expected him to have both eyes completely swollen shut and be crying constantly because of being uncomfortable. It was absolutely amazing to see him smiling. However, the nurses still kept warning us that his eyes would probably swell the next day.

Here we are the next day with bright eyes and big smiles. When the neurosurgeon came in to talk to us Jer was holding Corbin and was turned away from him. When he turned around Dr. Brahma stopped mid-sentence and said "Look at that! It is unbelievable! Absolutely amazing!" The nurse told us afterward that he was going on and on about it in the hallway. We definitely witnessed many miracles and were so blessed by our Heavenly Father and the power of His Priesthood. We were discharged on Thursday night, 2 1/2 days post-op. The doctors had originally told us we would leave on the 3rd day as a VERY best scenario, but probably not until the 4th or 5th day. They actually would have let us go Thursday morning (2 days post-op) but I was too scared to take him home so soon. However, after hours of sitting in the hospital room with the nurse just bringing us Tylenol and Motrin, I was ready to get out of there by Thursday night.

Talking to Grandma Dibble while we were waiting to be discharged.

First day home.

4 days post-op. Looking cute as can be, and we have never experienced a setback.

  1. Thanks for posting all that, I was wondering about the details, but assumed it was all okay since we never heard otherwise. He looks just like the other dibble kids!

(Side note--If you want to post more than 5 pics per post, let the first ones load up and then you can load as many as you want after--just in batches of 5 at a time.)
