Maia's New Bike
Maia decided she had grown too big for her bike (which was true.) The Windermere Garage Sale was coming up, so I told her that if she sold her bike and the toys she didn't play with anymore, then she could earn money to buy a new bike. She was great about getting rid of stuff and made enough money for a new bike, helmet, and Hannah Montana Barbie (that sings a totally annoying song we are all sick of.) She puts the Barbie in the bike bag and off they go to terrorize the neighborhood.

All Star Pitcher
Connor was invited to pitch for our All Star team again this year. For those who don't know, Connor was invited last year after he pitched 4 perfect innings against the All Star coach's son's rec team. We declined at first because half the games and practices are on Sunday, and we don't play baseball on Sunday. A couple days later we got an email from the coach saying if we would allow Connor to pitch for the team he would never be required to play on a Sunday, or any other day that was significant for our religion. Connor was thrilled, to say the least! We are so excited that they have allowed us the same privilege this year. Thanks Coach Hansen!!!

I know I have posted a bunch of other pics of Connor pitching, but I just can't get enough of it. I am so proud of his talent (in a good way :) ). Here are some pics I took at the game yesterday. He pitched a full game, and aside from 1 walk (which he swears was a bad call :) ) he had a perfect game, including 8 strike outs.

Easter 2009
We hope everyone had a very happy Easter! Here is a little taste of our fun. We had to break the Easter Bunny news to the kids this year (not that they were surprised). We usually do baskets on Saturday morning and keep Sunday for a more spiritual day, but we got home from the beach so late on Friday night that I didn't have time, or the energy, to get everything put together. Poor Cade thought he was going to die having to wait an extra day.

The Loot
I had so much fun doing their baskets this year. I spent 5 hours going from store to store on Saturday looking for fun, cheap stuff to fill them up with. I did the cellophane wrap for the first time and it turned out really cute. I love putting together their Easter baskets just as much as I love getting their Christmas presents. It is my favorite time of year.

Spring Break - Seacrest/South Walton Beach, FL
We were so lucky to return to the beach for Spring Break with some of our best buddies: the Puzeys, the Harris', the Memorys, and the Hansens. Seacrest/South Walton Beach is in the Florida Panhandle, and it is amazing! The white sugar sand is so awesome! There were huge waves this year, so anyone brave enough to get in the freezing water had a great time. Here are pictures of our fabulous vacation.
Family Pictures
Our friend, Doug Puzey, is so nice to take family pictures for all of us each year. He does a great job! Thanks Doug!!!

Corbi's First Trip to the Beach
Beach House Neighborhood Pool
Connor & Carter
They finally got it figured out and had a ball in the waves.
Sandcastle
The whole crew got together and built this sandcastle...twice.
It got washed away in the tide during the night,
so they built it again the next day.
Cade worked really hard digging a big ditch at the bottom to try and save it from being destroyed.
Surf Fishing
The dads and kids had a good time fishing the surf. The waves were too big to catch much, but they still had fun.

fishing after our family pictures.
Chad trying to cast out past the waves. He was the only one who hooked anything besides a crab.
He caught an ocean catfish.
They both turn 12 at the beginning of August (1 day apart) but they look like a newlywed couple here.
The Beach House
This is the neighborhood our beach houses were in, Magnolia Cottages by the Sea. It is just this main street with about 6 side streets, each with about 6 houses. It is a charming little neighborhood. The kids have a ball running from house to house, having sleepovers, swimming in the pool, riding bikes, taking walks, etc.
We want to go back every year!
Morning Walks on the Beach

Early morning was my favorite time to go to the beach. It is so peaceful and beautiful. We walk in the surf and collect shells. Maia and I took a walk while the boys fished.

Third Beach Day

Corbin finally figured out the sand was actually kinda fun.
The evidence is still coming through in his diaper.
The boys spent forever digging this hole.
They were so proud of it.
