We could not hold him for the first 24 hours post-op. It was heartbreaking, especially when he would wake up in pain because the morphine had worn off.

With Grandma Lowry right after we had been transferred to the normal floor. We were so blessed that she has the world's best boss who let her take ANOTHER week of vacation and come out to help us. Thanks John!!!

We never could have made it through this trial without all of our amazing friends and family!!! So many people were fasting and praying for us, and you never understand how much that means until you are the ones receiving the blessings. Everywhere we went in the days leading up to surgery people would stop us and ask what they could do to help. My mom commented that "Southern hospitality is definitely a true and living thing!"
